We are absolutely fanatical about uptime and take extreme measures to ensure that your website is always available to your visitors. We believe that a solid infrastructure is critical to provide the highest level of customer service possible.

Our servers are located in the Global Net Access datacenter in Atlanta, Georgia, and are connected via a dedicated 100 mbps link (most companies only provide a 10 mbps link that is not dedicated). We believe in a few large pipes of quality providers to handle spikes in traffic and the occasional DoS attack as well as unknown traffic patterns in the case of a primary link failure. This is why our network minimum Internet backbone connection are 1 gbps (1000 mbps) pipes. We currently have six backbone providers and are publicly peered with twelve providers including EarthLink. Our current network consists of Gigabit links to Abovenet, XO, PCC-BTN, SAVVIS, Telia, Level 3, and the Atlanta Internet Exchange public peering point. You will not get bottlenecks due to small pipes. The Global Net Access datacenter is located in one of the two main telco hotel vaults in Atlanta, with access to all the major fiber and IP backbones and the highest quality of power and security in the city.

Power

  • Four main state of the art UPS systems.
  • Two generators with in ground 5,000 gallon fuel tanks to ensure power if there is an outage. 1.5 megawatt and 800 KVA.
  • Connected to the most reliable power grid in the state of Georgia through quad vaults on four feeds, this protects the main hospital in Atlanta so it is on a last outage program as critical services and was also extensively upgraded for the Olympics.

Network

  • Redundant Cisco BGP routing and switching infrastructure with cold spares on site allows for equipment failure with no interruption of service and timely replacement of the failed item. 10 Gig Metro Ethernet ring for the core routing with dual feeds of all aggregation routers ensures 100% uptime.
  • State of the art Avaya ANS BGP management system optimizing the routes on the six gig network in real time 7000 times per minute based on traceroute performance to ensure that your website has the highest performance routing vs a simple BGP configuration.

Servers

  • RISC processors for faster processing of data.
  • RAID hard drives with cold spares for replacement in the event that an individual hard drive fails. Learn more about how RAID works.
  • Dual power supplies, each with its own source of power.
  • Nightly backup routines, archived locally and off site.

Datacenter

  • Eight 22 ton redundant Liebert air systems providing consistent temperature and humidity range in the datacenter.
  • State of the art datacenter ID system and security including video surveillance and recording. All entrances to the datacenter include biometric scanning in combination with card key to prevent unauthorized access.
  • FM-200® fire suppression and active monitoring with VESDA™ early smoke detection.
  • State of the art monitoring system for all servers and network devices with instant failure notification.
